Asian Steak Salad


8 oz Baby Spinach
¼ cup Aegean Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 tsp Cloves, finely Chopped
2 tbsp Castella Lime Juice
1 tsp Dark Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Castella Soy Sauce
1 Sweet Red Onion, sliced
½ lb Flank Steak
4 Fresh Cilantro Sprigs


  1. Wash and dry spinach, place leaves in a large salad bowl and set aside.
  2. Whisk 2 tbsp olive oil with the garlic, lime juice, sugar and soy sauce in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in pan, sauté onion for about 3 minutes, then transfer to bowl with spinach.
  4. Sear steak in pan about 3 minutes per side until medium rare, then remove from pan.
  5. Add soy lime mixture to pan and deglaze pan by stirring constantly  and loosening bits on bottom of pan.
  6. Return steak to pan to coat with soy mixture.
  7. Slice steak thinly and top the spinach with the steak.
