In a relatively short time Castella has developed a high quality line of olives, olive oils, cheeses, canned vegetables, tomato products, seafood, soup bases, condiments and spices and extracts. The company serves the needs of supermarkets, specialty food stores, restaurants, airlines and hotels throughout North and South America. Castella also features such specialties as pepperoncini, giardiniera, marinated mushrooms and capers. As both a manufacturer and distributor, Castella is fully able to supply products in either retail or food service sizes.

Castella began its roots in a production warehouse facility in Hicksville, New York. Since then, Castella has grown into a major importing, manufacturing and distribution center. In 1999, Castella doubled its size by relocating to a modern 66,000 square foot facility in Farmingdale, New York. In 2002, Castella opened its own 35,000 square foot distribution center in Wood Dale, IL. In 2003, Castella purchased Millflow Spice Corp. and Regal Extract Co. making Castella one of the largest spice companies in the Northeast. In 2004, Castella continued its aggressive growth by purchasing the assets Salvati Foods, one of the largest Italian specialty manufactures in the United States. Later that year Castella relocated to a 3.5 million cubic foot, state-of-the-art warehouse in Hauppauge, NY.
